John and Avis
Hard-Pressed live in a three bed semi in Enfield with their two kids, and they
had always been too busy to switch their home energy suppliers. Whenever prices
went up, they thought about it, but did nothing. They stayed loyal to their gas
supplier (British Gas) and electricity provider E.On as they seemed to provide
a good service. Today, however, Avis suddenly remembered a conversation she
had had with someone who had saved a packet by switching energy suppliers.
So she went on the internet and found our Gas and Electricity menu option. She
put in her postcode EN1 3EU and selected their current suppliers from a drop down
list. They currently pay by cheque on receipt of bill, but she wanted to see what
they could save by paying by fixed monthly Direct Debit. She put in their
annual spend on gas (£750), and electricity (£500). She
applied on line there and then to save £286 a year, with the Scottish
Power - Online Energy Saver 13 tariff.
