What is the Confidence Code?
The Confidence Code is a type of accreditation awarded by Ofgem to a select number of energy price comparison websites. The Code sets out the minimum requirements that a provider of an internet domestic gas and electricity price comparison service must meet in order to be, and remain, accredited by Ofgem.
It is beneficial for you to choose a price comparison website covered by the Confidence Code, as this means that the website acts independently of suppliers; meaning that any quotes you receive have been calculated fairly and are not biased towards any particular provider or tariff.
Confidence Code-compliant price comparison
The process of finding and comparing quotes for different gas and electricity tariffs is easy using an online comparison service, and switching to a new, cheaper energy supplier is easier than ever before.
It only takes a few minutes to enter your postcode and consumption information, and then you are presented with a table of the different tariffs available. You can then simply choose which tariff is the cheapest for your circumstances, and start reaping the benefits of a more cost-effective service.
Enter your postcode into the form on the right to find out how much you could save on your energy bills. All results comply with Ofgem’s Confidence Code.
